TEKASHI69
IMMEDIATELY 'GANGSTA CHECKED'
When He Got Locked Up

Tekashi69 isn't getting the red carpet treatment in federal lockup -- several Crips wasted NO time "gangsta checking" him, and TMZ has learned that's what got him transferred to a new facility.

The tense showdown went down November 19 at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, right after 6ix9ine was denied bail ... according to our law enforcement sources.

We're told Tekashi, an alleged member of the 9 Trey Gangsta Bloods, was confronted by inmates affiliated with the Crips who were in the intake area as he arrived. That's when one inmate 'G Checked' him -- meaning stepped up to him to see if he's a real gangsta or just a wannabe.

We're told the Crip told Tekashi he better understand who's in charge -- and the only thing that saved him from a beatdown was the fact prison staffers quickly intervened.

His attorney, Lance Lazzaro, says 6ix9ine "was being threatened in jail. However, he was not scared nor did he request being removed. The [Bureau of Prisons], acting upon these threats, removed him to a different facility to eliminate the threat."

TMZ broke the story ... the new facility where he ended up is sometimes used for witnesses who cut deals. Our sources said Tekashi specifically asked to be in a unit away from Crips and Bloods.

We reached out to the BOP regarding the Crip incident, but a rep wouldn't comment because Tekashi's no longer in their custody'

Thousands of Tekashi 6ix9ine fans start Facebook page to break him out of jail

NEW YORK ? Over 13,000 Tekashi 6ix9ine fans joined a Facebook group to ?break 6ix9ine out of jail.?

The group, categorized as a religion-based group, is hosted by a page known as ?the random urge to scream Tr3yway.?

The Brooklyn-born rapper, who pled not guilty to racketeering and firearm charges, is being held at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.

The 22-year-old rapper, whose birth name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in November and faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 32 years in prison and as much as life.

He was deemed a likely danger to the community and denied bail after his arrest.

A prosecutor said at the time there was evidence Hernandez directed or participated in multiple acts of violence as part of the deadly New York gang 9 Trey Bloods, and was a flight risk because of his worldwide connections and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.

Hernandez is set to face a  pretrial conference on Jan. 22, 2019.

Despite numerous controversies, Hernandez has become a dominant figure in hip-hop, with his album Day69: Graduation Day becoming one of the top records on iTunes following its February release. He has also worked with rappers Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, who were set to film a music video with him in California when several shots were fired near the set.

Last month, Hernandez was sentenced to four years probation for using a child in a sexual performance. He pled guilty after online videos surfaced of him sexually engaging with an underage girl in 2015.

Hernandez was seen touching and fondling the minor?s body parts, and standing behind her while ?making a thrusting motion with his pelvis and smacking her on the buttocks,? according to a complaint filed with the criminal court of New York.

At the time of the incident, Hernandez was 18 years old. The minor was 13.

Hernandez originally faced one to three years behind bars. In addition to his probation, the rapper will have to complete 1,000 hours in community service.

Hernandez was previously arrested in July on a Texas warrant for allegedly choking a 16-year-old.

As a minor, Hernandez served time for selling heroin and assaulting the owner of a bodega, the music website genius.com reported last year.

According to NYS courts, if convicted on racketeering charges, the rapper faces a fine up to $25,000 and a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Judge Cops to Screwup
CHILD SEX SENTENCE WAS WRONG, BUT ...

The judge who closed out Tekashi69's child sex case now admits there was a major screwup with his original sentence, but she also suggests it's a moot point now that he's locked up.

A spokesperson for Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin -- who sentenced Tekashi in October for his 2015 child sex case -- tells TMZ the error was in the plea deal prosecutors struck with 6ix9ine's attorneys.

According to the spokesperson, "The original sentence was the result of a negotiated plea. All parties involved, the prosecution, defense and the [trial] judge (not Mennin) signed off on it." Now, here comes the big BUT ... "As an error was made, the case was placed back on the calendar and the sentence corrected."

Translation: Judge Mennin dropped Tekashi's probation Tuesday, and gave him credit for time served to correct an oversight -- namely, that the terms of the plea deal were unlawful.

Remember, Judge Mennin handed down a light sentence of 4 years probation as opposed to jail time. Sentencing guidelines for a class C sex assault felony -- for which 6ix9ine was convicted -- call for a minimum of 10 years probation, and a max of 5-15 years in prison.

What's unclear is how Tekashi's time served -- less than 3 weeks in jail -- equals that minimum of 10 years probation. We asked Menin's spokesperson what the judge's sentence would have been had she initially noticed the plea deal screwup.

We were told, "Who knows?"

The saying goes, pics or it didn't happen ... and in Tekashi69's case, the feds say they have all they need to prove his involvement in multiple crimes ... TMZ has learned.

Federal prosecutors filed documents, obtained by TMZ, which include more than a dozen images of Tekashi, his ex-manager Kifano "Shotti" Jordan (aka Tr3way) and other crew members pulling armed robberies and shootings. The evidence seems to have him dead to rights.

According to the docs, cops grabbed videos from phones belonging to 6ix9ine or crew members and matched them with surveillance videos of an April 3 armed robbery in Brooklyn. They say the images prove Shotti pulled the robbery, and cops believe Tekashi watched from the street and recorded video.

There's a screen grab from that video, which prosecutors think Tekashi gave to a 3rd party to post on the Internet. Also included ... matching shots of a backpack that was stolen, and later found in Tekashi's home during a Sept. raid. That raid also turned up an AR-15 rifle.

Click through the gallery ... you can see cops also matched images of 6ix9ine from 2 Brooklyn shootings on April 21
