The study that I posted not only took into count the actual posted porn content, but those who reblogged/liked/shared it, etc.

CNN Business used this same 2016 study for their article.
(Yes, the study that someone in here said is irrelevant to our conversation :plea: )

My first instinct was to look at their content percentages. I wasn't alone.

QuoteAn estimated 21.3 million people in the United States use the website at least once per month, according to eMarketer. A 2016 study by researchers in Italy found only 0.1% of users uploaded pornographic content to the website. But the same study found that 22% of Tumblr users liked or reblogged such material, while another 28% were unintentionally exposed to it.

There's no doubt that 22% is significant.

Any company should pause before they think about alienating almost 1/4th of its users.
But it's not the same as alienating almost 80% of its users.

Yeah, I take back what I said.  :holdupguys: Adult content makes up a large part. Can't argue with that.

Tumblr will end up like Myspace if they don't fix that automatic flag system though.
In fact, a couple months ago, a Brandy gifset of mine has been flagged as porn and I've been wondering what that was about. :udontlookok: It all seems like a rushed move if you look at the huge amount of errors everyone is experiencing.

:blessed:

I'm sorry but this is some foolishness.

I can't wait for this mess to go down in flames   :kii:

Hundreds of thousands of users underneath that post readibg Tumblr for its life. Nof them giving their own death a date and time mess. December 17th will be some teas

Djjdjdjdj

I just did a somersault into SPACE!

Not their OWN post getting flagged. What kinda Armageddon BOT did they send owt?!

The back forth should?ve ended here. The point everyone has made on every corner of the internet, is that this could?ve been avoided had they not been so lazy n cheap, and hired a staff tasked with with specifically monitoring and erasing shit like child porn. Not like they couldn?t afford it. Tumblr has become AD central over the last few years. One of the many reasons they?ve been goin down for a min.

They?re officially FINISHED on the 17th!
