Darren Russell, clinical adviser for Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine - which authored Australia's PrEP clinical guidelines - said a growing body of evidence supported taking PrEP on demand (a dosing strategy involving taking PrEP pills in line with a carefully-timed schedule before and after sex).

"Taking PrEP only around the time of sexual events allows for fewer tablets to be taken overall, resulting in less exposure to medication, potentially fewer side-effects, and lower costs," Dr Russell said.

Prep tells you to also practice safe sex. Basically, you're fucking and the condom breaks that 99% is strong odds in your favor. What are the odds of the condom breaking and you getting infected? Plus you're on Prep? You're good to go. If you are barebacking every damn day, your odds are greatly increased. If you're getting barebacked everyday by someone who is positive than what is 99%? Its a chance of 1 in 100, so within 100 fucks you could expect to contract HIV.

I was reading a report about a study, that 12 out of 100 men tested positive at the end of the study. I don't know anyone who uses Prep that uses condoms, and I dont really know anyone who actively uses condoms that is also on prep.
