Marriage and sex isn't the same thing
These law makers are looking at it from the good ol' christian angle where the bible is used to promote abistence over contraception, the sanity of marriage between man and woman, the condemnation of homosexuality, abortion and sex before marriage..it was even once used as proof as why blacks should be slaves and also as a tool to oppress slaves.
The world isn't FIT for that anymore, it's time these kids face reality and equip themselves with facts instead of fairy-styles from 12AD I say.

Exactly. We're ruled by religion anymore, especially Catholicism which is the most hypocrite shit and their followers are the absolute worst  :dead:

And yea It's not about making kids confused by treating these matters :dead:  they'll just understand that it is a normal thing and move the fuck on, and that's the only way they'll never discriminate others or use violence, etc. age of 6-8 is exactly the appropiate moment for them to understand before they mimic homophobic kids at school. Same with racism or machismo.

TL;DR fuck religions

I never said the two were the same.

I bring that up because I know plenty of straight people who'd probably have an issue with this gay marriage cartoon but would happily allow their kids to shoot down people via virtual reality.

I keep the same energy across the boards. Even if it hits my bottom line and wallet. That's my point, hun.

yeah but your main point is "to protect kids"

protecting from what exactly? I get guns and violence, but homosexuality?

One thing is for them to learn about the simplicity and nature of homosexual relationships in an age-appropiate and educative way and one completely different is to handle them a bunch of pornography or making them watch Noah's Ark or Queer as Folk or something :dead: Demonizing, hiding homosexuality is way more dangerous than being honest with your kid about it. Especially since they will KNOW how to differentiate normal gay relationships from pedophilia and other hazardous stuff if you make things clear from the beginning. Kids won't immediately ask questions about condoms and onlyfans at that age, well unless they're surrounded by sick and twisted people who expose them to that stuff. And we don't do that do you?

My nephew is 8 and he knows about me and my partner's 10-year relationship ever since he was 3. He never thought of it as something sexual or twisted or anything. He knows we love each other just like his parents do and that's it. He even encourages us to hold hands and hug each other in public places because it's only love and their parents do it, so why can't we :dead:

Homosexuality is normal. What's truly gross and disgusting are adults' minds. Well, of those who never had proper education on sexuality and affectivity from a young age.

yeah hun ur kinda demonizing us

And what you "personally" think should be irrelevant. This discussion is in the realm of public health. Optimally every kid should be guaranteed the right to learn this stuff, no matter the parent's beliefs. You may think about what's age appropiate and what's not while other households might evade the discussion altogether until it's too late :dead: That's what these cartoons airing on public broadcaster service are for and hopefully they'll keep making good use of public television.

yummy
