Just in my experience when i've told someone I wasn't attracted to them they automatically think I'm referring to their physical appearance. You can be aesthetically appealing but give off zero sexual energy or just be bland/boring which will make you unattractive. I feel like the word attractive has more of a sexual meaning and alot of people mistake that for being good looking.

I'm in a friendship like that now. We had sex once like 3 years ago and we're still best friends. He has a boyfriend and I have someone as well. But he did admit that he thought about our friendship growing into something else at one point.

People think it's weird and people pick up on our chemistry because he came to my job to see me one day and everyone thought he was my boyfriend
