she was on the show saying she's sick of talking about colorism
and that everyone loves everyone , we're all the same and blah blah blah

and the white gor chin checked her a bit by leting her know there is value in the convo because some people are still held back because of their skin tone. its a real issue
not a damn figment of people's imaginations.

not a damn white woman schooling you on an issue that is very specific to ur  own community
eve couldn't do anything but nod because there wasn't much to argue with.

kinda sad. and of course sheryl underwood was clapping for Eve and completely on board with her mess
after she sat there made comments about how worthless kinky hair is
and held a slice of watermelon in one hand and a chicken wing in the other

but, join forces a bit

Gilgamesh.

Dissapointing response from Eve, but she is lightskinned. She probably got triggered the same way white people do when you mention racism.

they were really just sitting there looking UNCOMFORTABLE and speechless.

a lot of black people just love jumping on the racism mess cuz its easy and trendy
(although still worth talking about and addressing)

but bring colorism teas into the convo and people back away and start tryna push it back under a rug. stop it

Some people pl le just get uncomfortable talking about topics like thi SD.  You can tell they were glossing over the MESS. Yeah those women made it and broke through but to what height? How many others didn't?

But all of that is neither here nor there tbh, in my opinion. I have a different stance on all that, that may sound harsh to the black community.

i really don't like the talk at all

they always get these kind of issues wrong and clap at the most dumbest shit

Speak on it, Tonk. Share.

I know within my culture, it runs rampant.
I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed my own sisters being treated differently (from outsiders or distant family) simply due to their skin tone or hair length. No one says it outright, but it's obvious as fuck.

GLOCK

This is very disappointing to hear from Eve..
I guess my plight is the blacks that feel like our "allies"..
that we've come so far so let things go..
I face this stance on a lot of black topics and typically it's around blacks who have "made it".. are "wealthy".. or rich or have been the exception.

the sad truth is this is still and issue and it will always be an issue..
it is so much larger than Beyonce... fact is beyonce is extraordinarily talented .. and had a family that was gonna make sure she was who she is today regardless..

but there are so many examples in different fields where color shade has been the deal breaker for them..
yes we have had some examples of darker women excelling but if you compare it to the light skin women who have catapulted the industry's it literally sums up as small as a crumb..
one or two girls per era.. working 5x harder than their lighter toned/European contemporaries..

this colorism conversation def irks me/drains me but it is no time better than the current time to discuss and face harsh truths.. there are thousands of brown and dark girls who haven't been afforded the same career and opportunities because of their appearance.. we can't make it go away by assuming that because we are suddenly seeing more representation that it has been healed.

THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE.. and NO BLACK WOMAN SHOULD BE SITTING AROUND ON A LARGE PLATFORM DISMISSING THIS ISSUE.. especially one who could've benefited from the tone of her skin.

bye STEVE

Notice how in a Bollywood mess the dark skin Indians are always the evil ones  :dead:
Even in more north Asia skin bleaching / brightening is advertised everywhere.

This isn?t just about Afrolatin?s (which is one issue in itself) it?s about a universal issue as well.

Viola getting her flowers ain?t changing shit for the masses.

Im not sure what south Asia has to do with RnB music
Kelly not being 1% as talented as bey is etc.

Not yall wanting ppll to just be handed stuff so yall can feel good about your selves  :plzstop:

Like kwee said. Talent is colorless.

Not us getting 1 time at ky suster cousin auntie uncle bbq examples now  :plzstop:

Is this still about music n kelly being a lazy bum with no drive or ambition?  :ATLcameo:
