Disney only casted her because controversy sells meanwhile they barely even throw the FIRST african american princess Tiana a bone.. she hardly gets promoted or recognized.
Congrats for booking the role but she's used as a prop of further proving that they only see us as second place instead of being number 1. Disney didnt even care enough to cast her in an original story.. instead placing her in an iconic role that will never be as revered as the original.
Halle deserves more than being the "second" or " black" ariel. Like I said earlier, disney barely even acknowledges tiana, who was the actual first black princess.
Its a cash grab for black bucks.
