Do straight-acting gay men think they are above other gays?

Masculine gays do tend to be very conceited. They think they are better than their feminine counterparts overall. More attractive, more successful and socially accepted. And a lot of times they are. Still no excuse for their behavior. Bitch you still a faggot like the rest of us.

I'd like to know why so many black gay men are attracted to the archetype of hyper-masculine because I've never been attracted to the Uber masculine type of character. Maybe it's because I always saw them as problematic and violent growing up and too closeted to make a life with later on. I once read on a scale of masculinity black men were at the top, of course, then it was brown Hispanic men, then white men and Asian men. I always preferred the white man's level of masculinity that kind of falls in between masculine and feminine, I.E,  actor Chris Evans.

Many of you are throwing straight, straight-acting, straight-passing, masculine, and macho in one big pile. They're not all the same.

Not every heterosexual man behaves like a caveman and likes football.  You would know that if you stopped isolating yourself and released your childhood trauma. Cry it out, grab your nuts, and step into your manhood.

I find the term "str8 acting" VERY offensive tbh

I'm a man, why can't I act like a man, why is that shunned :uhh:

I feel the same way. People forget that men are inherently masculine. Gay is just a sexual orientation. It is NOT an act.

Edited: I actually believe that gay men have started to adopt effeminate traits far too much. Yes, a lot of us do have them naturally but nowadays they are exaggerated. It's like it's an agenda to rid men of their natural masculinity and make them beta while the females are made masculine.
y'all type the dumbest shit on here

Fem gays were originally the first gay men ever known. After AIDS and so much unprotected hatered gay people adapted to the "Hyper Masculine" behavior of hetro men to blend in and become unclockable.

People were uncomfortable with effeminate gay men long before HIV/AIDS. The term is effeminate, not feminine.

But yeah sometimes the gorls can do a bit much.

"HEY YALL LOOK AT MEH! RAINBOW BELT! RAINBOW SHIRT! IM FUCKIN GAY!!!! WATCH MEH VOGUE FOR YA ENTERTAINMENT!"

I mean in the club is one of thing but all on the train and bus and mess...Calm down :calmdownsis:

Your sexuality isn't an accessory or spectacle of some sort. It's good to be proud and stuff, but it becomes a bit much sometimes.

You'd be surprised how many people will just respect you because you're comfortable and relaxed with who you are.
Yeah

Yeah I was a lil confused as to what we were defining "straight acting" as . Because to me that's a man who purposely tries to give a certain tea for the sake of projecting an image, as opposed to a gay man who just happens to be more on the masculine side.

It all goes back to feminine being a woman's nature and masculine being a man's nature. Technically, the hatred of effeminate behavior is derived from the hatred of women. Basically, saying to be effeminate, like a woman, is to be weak. Being effeminate does not make you gay. There's no such thing as acting gay. Again, gay is a sexual orientation, not an act unless you're being happy.

It's just not true. By saying that you're assigning levels of masculinity with sexual orientation. I'm not sure how we came to the conclusion that the first known gay man was a fem

And honestly that's the issue, feminine gays want a certain level of masculinity assigned to the entire culture. Just like rainbow flags and pride parades and the sex parties afterward. Then the second somebody says they don't identify with that ..... "Self-Hatin phaggit!"

Where my gays like follow the NBA @ in here?

Preach.

I don't even like umbrella terms like LGBT anyway. Who says I agree with LBT...

If you go back in time and look at the history and watch the documentation. You'd see Gay Men were more out and proud and less masculine than today.
