Her first couple of albums are classics

The 3 first one are!!!

The pop songs that she choose as first singles did her wrong since 2009.
"No One" was the exception that tricked her.
"Doesnt Mean Anything" has to be the worst first single of her career after "Girl On Fire".
Too Pop for her core..
She knew  that when she released "GOF".. that's why she did the lazy "adult version", but it wasn't enough.

She was an album seller..and she started doing thoses lazy pop singles.. and it killed her.
"Unthinkable" was her last REAL hit..an real urban smash..
otherwise, she cant choose a good single..
"In Common, is a nice track but it just doesn't fit her main audience radio wise which is now UAC- Urban Cross Over.
She needs to find the righ ttrack.. the song that we be a BIG hit at UAC and then cross over Urban and Rhytmic..
I don't think that she's OVER OVER.. because her formula is the "basiest" one.
Piano + Voice..is simple but can work in every era.
even by mistake, one day,  she can have the right song and it will help her to get a gold album..
nothing more..
She's arriving 40..
Gospel album, Jazz album, etc.. it's what's coming next for her..

I'm actually shocked that erika is her manager instead of her A&R. And that Erika gave up being an artist all together.

She needs someone like raphael saadiq or D'wayne Wiggins  to step in and help her find herself again.

I saw that she was in studio with Emily King, which makes me laugh. You remember that when Emily started, they wanted to sell her as "the nu alicia keys"..
Alicia must be a lil bit desperate to work with her now.

Most female R&B artists lose momentum by their 3rd album anyways. Toni, Brandy, Monica, Ashanti, etc etc. Even the Pop girls too like Christina, Katy, GaGa. This was inevitable. No one (aside from a couple girls) stay on top 4ever.
