I would still say it was invite only. Sounds like his manager was INVITED and he was given the option to bring guests. Show me a link or website for the general public being able to buy tkts.
If the only way someone can get in is thru hobnobbing with industry insiders and shit then it's an EXCLUSIVE EVENT, which was the point

You could show up & donate.   They had general admission tickets & then they had invitations  for the talent that walked the carpet & etc  issued months ago.  So there was invites not negating that but it was NOT invite only...  Clay also manages Lil Duval who hosted the BET awards this weekend... obviously he decided to go there instead.   If I didn't have to go alone I would've went.   Now I'm mad I decided to stay in SC for the weekend.
