I still stan for Kenya. Not one point in this thread did I say she was less pretty because of colored contact usage.

I expressed my disappointment in her being one of "those gorls" who run around with colored contacts in their eyes. There's a huge difference.

So any unrelated conclusions drawn are purely based on assumption.

But why is Kenya suddenly one of "those girls" because she wears colored contacts?

And I don't understand why he lumped her together with the rest of the "insecure" girls. I don't see anything wrong with temporary mess like eye and hair color. She's not bleaching her skin or lightening her instamess photos. She seems very secure with herself.

And I don't think it's nice to judge someone just because everything on them isn't natural. No need to be so dramatic.

But that's exactly what you've been doing the entire time, and over something silly like contacts. None of our faves are natural from head to toe. They wear things to enhance what they've already got. I don't know why we're so quick to judge black women over the silliest things. Just because a woman isn't rocking her natural 100% all of the time doesn't mean there's some deep rooted issue or insecurity.

I just expressed my disappointment because I thought she was au naturale.

Then we went into a BROADER issue of Eurocentrism. Which is totally relevant in ANY discussion regarding colored contacts in a black person's eyes. Anyone who doesn't think it is....you're in denial.

But at the end of the day, I still stan for GODya just like I stan for MANY beautiful black brown eyed women

My only crime here seems to be having an adoration and preference for black women who love the way they were born and embrace their natural God given beauty, and do not try to hide it. And if thats the charge, convict me right now. I'll gladly perch under that cell.

However, my adoration for them does not mean any other black women are unworthy of adoration. I still stan for Toni Braxton, and she stays with a blond yaki PERCHED in her head. GHan is quick to throw a 10 footer on ha head real quick as well. You guys need to stop looking at it in the wrong way.
