I'm sick of this topic. Just focus on putting out what you feel is great music and secure some sort of touring power.

In the words of Rihanna, "Good luck booking that stage you speak of."

No promoter is going to want to book any artist that can only open with 20k.And it's only getting worse.
wow do u work in the industry :ohwow:

Am mean, to me it's just the music quality
I bought 'Dele's album

I haven't bought a black artists album in awhile. I'm buying Tweet on Jan 26 tho

Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In

I don't think it's a race thing to be quite honest. It's the quality of music. It's like this, if you're not putting anything that's of any quality or something that someone can truly relate to, then they're not going to buy it. Simple as that. Plus, focus on writing really good songs instead of trashy material. Step outside of that ghetto box and do something innovative for once. Think about artists like Stevie Wonder, MJ, etc. Look up to them for inspiration instead of the hood. That's no fucking shade at all.

I'm happy that LiAnne LaHavas got nominated for a Grammy for Blood and hope she wins. I was hoping that Green and Gold would get a nomination. The other problem is that urban radio don't really like supporting "true" black artists anymore either. It seemed to be so infiltrated with hip hop and when it's too much of that people grow tired of it and want something different.
