WNAR is my MESS. One of my fav Li songs ever.

But it was not a good single choice. Especially lead single. It didn't even crack Top 40. It's not something the masses would immediately love.

I'm still mad the album couldn't debut at #1 because of Alicia.

They needed a BOP to get their attention.

Li was coming off the heels of Try Again the year before, and that DOMINATED airwaves. WNAR didn't really capture that same energy or response.
