You niggers are uncultured and animals
Team African American!
yall are just as silly as her for allowing this dumb ass separation ..
we 👏🏽 are 👏🏽 all 👏🏽black 👏🏽people👏🏽 .. the end 👏🏽
Fam, I dig you a lot, but on this point I respectfully disagree. This whole "flat blackness" is an American ideal. It doesn't seem to exist anywhere outside of the US. It's just like what I see pan Africans do on Twitter. They don't even practice that in Africa. I don't see the issue in saying that even though we're all of African descent, culturally and ethnically we're different. It's not divisive at all, it just is what it is.
aww hey bby. That was sweet of you. 💓
You don't think that a lot Africans see us as their brothers and sisters? I've encountered a lot of Nigerians, Sierra Leone girls, Senegalese girls and Ghana girls that have all talked to me about the importance of seeing us black people as one.. I legit have wide conversations with these people about their native people and how they are connected to us and desire a bridge that will tie us all back together
I think we as AA have been divided so much (Eurocentric conditioning from
Whites) from other blacks that all we see is us and we've fed this idea that any other blacks are simply secondary.
Which I find hilarious.. 🥴considering how shitty we treat each other.
I mean two black women can barely work in the same workplace without gnawing each other's head off/tryna out climb each other..
Or two black men coexisting without plowing each other's holes or shooting each other down

I don't agree with the mess she said but she seems to have grown past her own ignorance .. I don't think it's productive to hold that over her head because at the end of the day.. the only
People seeing her different than you and I .. are us!
Whites, Latins and Asians only see a NIGGER.
Same thing they see when they see us
Also she's doing a fine job as a black creative in the industry.
I appreciate your comment. Understand, I'm not saying that we can't have alliances with blacks outside the US, but I am skeptical of what "flat blackness" will erase in the name of unity. I haven't really seen any tangible ways this pan African philosophy manifests in the real world. I notice Native Black Americans aren't really protective of their identity and ethnic tribe as other diasporans are.
For instance, I can't just take a DNA test, go to Nigeria, and demand instant dual citizenship. "I want to be Yoruba! I want to be in the Igbo tribe!" It doesn't work like that. They will tell me I am not like them, and they're fully within their right to exclude me! My question is that, why are other blacks in the diaspora allowed to be tribal, and draw ethnic lines of distinction, but black Americans cannot?
For the record, I don't define myself by what any white, or non black person thinks of me. They conned us heavily with that one drop rule mess, and I think anyone who defines themselves by how others see them should seek therapy, no shade.
I just think that native blacks have a lot to lose with what Azaelia Banks would call "cultural smudging", or erasing. American history is littered with black people being betrayed by people who they thought were allies, which is in part why I can't keep my foot of coon erivo's neck.
Again, I'm not saying we as black descendants of American chattel slavery can't have alliances with foreign blacks and others, but given what I've seen/read/listened to, I just take a slightly different, skeptical view.
