It  breaks the acidity of the sauce. My mom usually puts a little in when she makes spaghetti to break the reflux.

Amazing

You gorls clearly don't know how to cook.

A real cook knows to add a lil sugar in the pasta sauce. You won't be able to taste it. It's like teaspoon or two.

I WILL say AA rarely put the effort into making Spaghetti like Italians.
Its like they make the shit with the simplest of ingredients because its cheap to make and it fills their whole fam up. 🤢 You RARELY ever see anyone crafting their sauce

Yeah sugar helps to balance the flavor as well its not to turn it into a desert only dumbasses look.at it that way
The same way butter balances out ice cream

The same way lemon.balances out sugar in fruits

I also use sugar in my greens and cabbage to balance the savory

Also use it when im sauteining onions and sauerkraut  for hot dogs

Also add it to cornbrrad to soften the taste

Like

If u think sugar doesnt belong in spagetti  most likely ur shit coming out harsh and salty
