I'm sorry guys. But during that era, I felt she shoulda released Piano Man as the 2nd single to get her ass back on the Urban charts. Some of us may not be a big fan of it now, but back then, it was the wave (the female version of Usher's Love In This Club if you will and also reminiscent of NeYo's Single). And just toss T-Pain on a remix mess.

Camouflage, Torn Down, etc wouldnt have really had a chance on radio. Then after she could close out the era with Camo.

I didn't like it before but I like Piano Man now but never heard it as a single much. Love In This Club only did what it did because it followed the Confessions era.

I can understand why she wouldn't add Human songs to her set list. It's a complete deviation from traditional Brandy, which was kinda the issue in the first place

Idk who to blame for the direction of that album.

It wasn't the direction that was her problem, it was her lack of dedication  .

Ehhh it was too pop. Although her voice was phenomenal, it didn't feel like a Brandy album at all. I think she could have had some pop success with a different second single, but the album overall wasn't the right path. I mean, from Afrodisiac to Human??? She know damn well

That actually wasn't a bad idea tbh. She obviously has wayyyy more versatility but she could've developed a new fanbase with that route..

That was a terrible idea. And it makes sense now. Celine Dion? She definitely gave people too much power during that era. I can hear Rodney and execs telling her its gonna work and its what the current market wants. She was new to the label, so she just went with it. She was in a vulnerable state then so I get it.

But like Tori said, the album was def ahead of its time. It sounds even more amazing now.

Oh let's not get started on the Timbaland mess... the fact Brandy and Timbaland fought for them last min sessions, delayed the album and the label didn't want to wait for his ad-libs to be completed to throw the tracks on the album smfh, I hope that decision maker is fired!!!!
