She's not doing much stacking with her vocals this time and found a new forma to keep it more simple. This is so great.

Didn't DJ Camper day the other day that they've been doing like 16 stacks? I remember him saying that the sessions for this album were "stacking, stacking, stacking".

He did but he isn't really a vocal guy. He don't know what he is talking about.

wizzy

I appreciate you asking her about embracing previous eras

:dead: @ Freedom Rings being her acknowledging the debut

otherwise she gave the expected, predictable answers about her musicality

its good when she has to pause to think

Congrats Buddha

I mean 4 stacks of the same note is already normal in R&B and even some Pop songs
Add 4 of the same note an octave lower or higher and you have 8.
Then you add a low and high harmony with 4 each and you have 16 already.

If she just layers the exact same vocal by re-recording it multiple times, I don't really see it as overkill, it's just gonna add to the big and airy Brandy vocal feel. Now if she does plenty of different notes for the harmonies it could get too much (which might be what she was saying she doesn't wanna do anymore).

Maybe they both meant different things when they said 16 stacks.
Must be a purple moon, feel like one of those nights...

yeah I wanted her to dig in a little more.
I don't know if she's purposely being vague or if she doesn't know what to say about the work.
:dead:

I hope it's the former.
