Theo you're tripping bro :dead:
Baby Mama is quality, it has a positive message, Brandy sounds amazing and Chance's flow is dope
only thing I can see an issue with is the production (I like it, but maybe ppl didnt want the horns & stiuff?)
being a "baby mama" is not a positive message.

and that's the problem with our culture :dead:

every mother is technically a Baby Mama, which is what the song says
so yes it is a positive message

And Baby Mama is one of the best songs released this year so far

I agree with young for once

There is literally NO other song out like it rn now

Look at the damn top 10 songs on the hott 100  :dead:

BORderline

With a difference topic and different title she would have reached way more people. No doubt.

She knew it was risky and said fuck it. I'm doing me.

Im still shocked that Love Again got so many streams on Spotify...
If only that ugly ass turtle ninja looking ass was ok to shoot a fucking music video last year... Dumb fugly ass.

Le Champ

I see both sides.
I think if you actually listen to the lyrics, you can hear she's celebrating all mothers. I think the issue is that the general public may be hung up on the song title or not pay that close attention to every single word because there has been such a negative connotation associated with the term Baby Mama. I also agree with someone who stated that it is very risky for someone like Brandy to try to challenge or change that connotation.

However, none of that takes away from the song for ME It's still a great song. I love the production and her voice is soaring.

I agree with all of this! I will say never in a million years would I have thought Brandy would have a song called BABY MAMA lol but I mean the shit knocks and I love her intent with the song . It still very new and I'm not into the chart watching and calling something a flop if it isn't in the top 3 in the first few weeks that's silly.
