Black Artists and Filmakers have always made these studios a shit ton of money though. We're always regarded as the most influential and the most sought after and they know this.

White folks are precisely the audience that help catapult certain Hip Hop Artists to the so called "next level" and mainstream, so they definitely love us and love our content. I don't think it's a matter of the studios thinking Black Faces won't be as appealing or relatable

i think the way i see things makes me appreciate Tyler Perry even more.

Because one could argue that Mo'nique has more skill, considering that she's shown more versatility.

ultimately the mark of being a great actor is convincing the viewer
and i've been convinced by mo'nique both in The Parkers and Precious.

she was hilarious, but more versatile? lol. She was basically herself. She didn't even try to change her Baltimore accent.

i've seen mo'nique on total opposite sides of the spectrum

extremely comedic and lighthearted to extremely serious and "deep"
