I really appreciate how unpredictable it is in structure and melody. Because there is a melody in the songs (I have come to learn that since it's release and having sat with the album) just not in the conventional way that our ears have been trained to listen to as casual consumers of music. This isn't an easy listening record
I also just appreciate her telling her story in an authentic way. She's really doing some shadow work on this album and it's inspiring. This isn't news, but Brandy has always been forward thinking and super creative when it comes to executing her songs. It's just taking some adjusting this go round for me as a fan to appreciate what's she's doing.
Right now, "Unconditional Oceans", "Rather Be", "Lucid Dreams", "Borderline", "No Tomorrow" and "Saving All My Love" are my favorites.
