Of COURSE there are cops are out there who randomly and inexcusably target Black people .
But when people present a "well why don't they ever shoot White people ? Huh? Hmmm!" they are often referencing major cases and events that have played out in the media , as opposed to everyday events that we do not hear about because a White person getting shot by a cop is not gonna be spicy enough to make it to the news in itself.
It'll hit the local news and be done with.
and I feel it's a GREAT thing that anytime a Black person is shot or killed it gets LOADS of attention and coverage because that ultimately benefits us.
I honestly believe that Ohio police department released that footage so quickly cuz they foresaw their city going up in flames within a few hours .
not cuz they care so much about justice . But that's a GOOD thing tbh. Get us the info immediately
at the same time, we must have real conversations, practice independent thinking, and not be so quick to copy and paste statements to each incident the media covers as if it just always applies regardless of very important details.
if someone is coming at me with an knife , I want that cop to take them down. And I really don't care how they do it, and I don't give af what color they are. My life is in danger. Just do it. And anyone who says they don't feel this way is simply being dishonest all for the sake of appearing more woke.
A black life was lost but another may have been saved . That was a DEADlY weapon in her hand and she wasn't just waving it around to scare someone, she was coming at that woman tryna stab her.
again . Sometimes we need protection from OURSELVES.
