They really can't be compared. Whitney is a SOUL singer, Mariah is NOT. Mariah does things with her voice that Whitney wouldn't dare to and vice versa. It's really a matter of preference and I would say that Mariah is more versatile. LET'S NOT act like Mariah is to be shitted on when it compares to Whit b/c by that logic....a lot of ppl argue the same thing about Brandy.

I hadn't heard the remix and its so much better than the original....thank you for this. But yes, as I stated before, Mariah is not a SOUL singer. WHITNEY. JAZMINE, ARETHA....SOUL singers. I didn't say that she doesn't have soul in her music or sound from time to time but there is a difference. Same thing for Beyonce.
