I'm literally watching this right now so I'm not gonna click play. This story is sad tho
Its really sad
But im watching this and crying
Iyanla is wonderful but she's not qualified for all of this tbh
Why'd she have to set that girl up to blow up like that. I just...
omg
chile she read the bricks off of iyanla
It is an interesting episode
I have wondered during previous episodes why she would say harsh things (sometimes I can?t stand her)..I guess they trigger something in people. In this episode she explains that she has to provoke people to get a reaction. I don?t know if that is the best way to handle the situation. Sometimes she does force people to open up and that is good, but I can tell this time the girl was so uncomfortable. Never did I hear Iyanla console her and say it was going to be alright. She basically said it would be the hardest thing to do, clearly this girl is not strong enough. It could even be traumatic..I mean this victim and her reactions will be online forever. This fragile girl needs a safe environment, but now she is on tv as the ?angry black female?

When she forces these people to lay their head on her breast :mmywheresddy:
No wonder she looked disgusted
I understand Iyanla's methods alot of the time. She's dealing with broken people and alot of times our first reaction is to hide that and pretend that we're okay, So she breaks thru that. U have to be broken down to be built up. I get it
And this girl is completely disrespectful.

!!!!!!!!!
you can't heal anybody else or yourself tip-toeing around the real issues.
I hate when ppl act like they are so broken ... and beyond healing.
my philosophy is, once you wallow in something past the point of ppl reaching out to help you, you're no longer a victim. now you're proving that's the place you want to stay in.
like Iyanla said, the disturbing part is the fact the outburst was even inside her. That's moreso part of her character and needs to be addressed
s
I'm sorry, but that was uncalled for and she needed a grade A ass beating
don't really know her story or her hurt but ...
if it had been one of my aunt's ... with no cameras around
she would've been in a headlock by a female cousin or somebody
you don't get to act like a monkey and disrespect somebody because you're MAD... tf :uhh: :uhh:
And actually Iyanla didn't even REALLY do anything to her. I've seen her on here and I could understand someone else maybe giving her this lashing. What she did in this episode didn't warrant all that
She lost her mother, the woman that raised her, and her biological parents don?t understand her. This young girl is so fragile and doesn?t even have an identity anymore, of course she is going to have a tantrum

But that's not the way she was acting on the show. And she could've simply said I'm uncomfortable and wanna leave. There was no excuse for this girl acting like a wild ape. BYE
right
alot of serial killers were hurt badly as well ... let's start handing out get out of jail free cards to them too
she needs to understand healing is a choice, if you choose to stay mad, that's on you
even when you're hurting, it doesn't excuse making your situation worse by acting out
I think its deeper
She might have undiagnosed mental issues. That's way outta Iyanla grasp imo
Ivanla gave her the choice to leave.
She lied and said Iyanla made her stay.
Her bio parents are going to tip-toe around her and give in because they missed her for all of those year and in their heads, she was a perfect angel for all those years. It?s hard to change a mindset.
I think Iyanla was very fair but firm. She needed to be. Everybody around her seems to give into the pity party the girl throws.
Why have your bio mom on your social media as a friend but post things about the mom who abductee you? She really needs to decide who she is, who she wants to be, and what kind of relationship she want to have with all of her parents. But the disrespect is unwarranted.

She?s actually very professional because she never stoops to their level. She lets them get their anger out until it reaches a point of threats of violence. Then she shuts it down. Her methods are actually very good and they don?t just leave people to fend for themselves after the show is over. We only see what?s filmed. That?s doesn?t mean that?s all the help that?s provided.
People are there because they are anger, depressed, violence, or combination of these things. It?s only natural that when faced with help, they lash out because they?ve either never been offered the proper help or they aren?t ready to stop playing the victim. Some people?s whole lives are wrapped around their victimhood so once they are threatened with no longer being a victim, they lash out because it?s all they know.

nah, it was an agreed thing. she came on the show for some sort of healing. she wasn't forced. So that in it's self required some sort of respect.
I could see if it was some kind of court ordered thing. Sis got on tv and wanted to act out like they do on love and hip hop or bad girls club. She had a point to prove.
So she knew Iyanla would be there? Filming and mess? If thats the case I don't get it

That outburst was very ugly
But for someone who has basically lost a parent
AND her birth mother isn't fucking w/ her (they're not on speaking terms & she didn't even show up)
For Iyanla to posture like she's preventing her from contacting her dad & co must have made her feel cornered. She might have also experienced some feelings of abandonment as well. That was a recipe for disaster tbh.
Who knows since the whole thing went South. I feel bad for everyone involved because the father was visibly hurting as well.

And it's not like she was some product of the system. This bitch was still raised and lived a normal life. I'd expect sumn like this from kids being thrown from foster home to foster home or sumn. She shouldve communicated that she didn't wanna continue. There's a way to be direct and firm without being some common ghetto bird. Calling that lady all outta her name like that, it was disgusting
I just watched her dad?s fb video: Craig D Aiken
It is interesting that they edit the sh out of that episode. They didn?t show Iyanla?s son threatening the girl. They put the family out of the house in the rain and also falsely accused them of wanting to drive the rental car into a pole. Her dad is good caring guy and he has a point..how do you expect a girl that?s been kidnapped to stay in a stranger?s house? And the comment about her dad and bf not picking up the phone was harsh..she didn?t have any mental support and the anxiety was building. It was like she was abandoned all over again. Also how do you wrap a nineteen year old in blanket like a baby? And continue to hug her like a baby? Iyanla got no boundaries and she was probably just pissed off at Iyanla and the show..not her birth mother. He also mentioned the mother couldn?t come because of other things, not because she didn?t want to. Congratulations to Iyanla for orchestrating this whole thing and adding a nice narrative

The dad knows his daughter better than Iyanla. He knew that her method wasnt going to work, but Iyanla doesn?t really look at the individual. She treats everyone the same. It is painful to hear the mother she loved was a criminal. At some point Iyanla was just bullying her..you can?t just force people. That is why normally therapy takes years not a couple of days
The guy who broke his foot was chasing them because he thought they were stealing mics when they were already in the car ready to leave. It was an accident, they didn?t even explain it..they just said the girl was violent.
And they were not calm. How is a grown 40 year old man, iyanla?s son, going to say he would beat her ass if she said bitch one more time. The dad, bf and the girl were about to fight him, that must be the only positive thing about this episode; they left as a family
the dad got 8 kids, and this one just came into his life months ago.
he's trying to ride the gray train, and get money. He mentioned they're going on Ellen.
of course he aint gonna tell her the real DEAL, he's gonna tip toe around her so he can capitalize off it.

Right. This microwave break-it-apart and fix it method clearly isn't one size fits all.
Her goal was to set her off and that's what she got. This girl was intentionally forced into blacking the hell out.
Yeah, my grandmother taught me to have respect . But she also didn't give another adult permission to come break me the hell down, corner me and trigger me.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can get pretty damn nasty if I'm triggered. I think a LOT of people do. This girl is no different.

I could tell she felt alone and cornered when she asked "Why did you leave me?" at the end of the clip.
I didn't even know that Iyanla planned to trigger her and I could tell that's what was happening here.
It's a pretty fucked up thing to do with a child and I honestly wanna drag her by that yarn on her head and finish her the fuck awf in here.
I fully agree. She could?ve left but the part that was fucked up was that Iyanla said her bf and dad wouldn?t pick up the phone. It was like she turned them against her. She had that evil smile on her face like :usuresis: :jackiessales: :blessed: :roflmao:
After an intense day of therapy you are just going to put her in a strange room by herself like she did something wrong? Or let her drive to a hotel by herself in a city she doesn?t know?
mknjb.
The funny thing is I'd actually expect you NOT to understand Annie. If I'm allowed to be 100% honest today. :dead: You're always super respectful and never really step out of line with anyone. But it's cool that you do understand.
Luv u goddess.
Well some discussions I just avoid because it is a waste of time/energy (for example people who think punishing their kids by beating them or forcing them to do push-up and intense exercises). It is just an endless discussion and I think a lot of it has to do with how people are raised themselves. For example it is scary that a lot of people in the US are crazy about this 2nd amendment, as a Euro I just won?t be able to understand.
I rarely watch Iyanla because she keeps pissing me of. I think she makes people uncomfortable with the way she talks, her body language and her expressions. She tries hard to be this nurturing aunt or something but it is clearly an act. When she smiles she doesn?t smile, she is actually trying to manipulate. I know I can?t be the only one who has an allergic reaction to her, I bet some people on the show got claustrophobic too.

ssdssddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!
Calling that lady all outta her name like that, it was disgusting
i noticed she said ?i slap bitches around for less than this? or some mess dnndnfnnf :uhh: I?m like .. where did she grow up doing that, because it looked like her childhood was pretty normal. Some of this is definitely a conscious choice on her part
I think everyone in that room was wrong and could have handled it all differently. Mess

Iyanla wanted to trigger someone and she did it.

After watching the episode I felt like from the beginning kamiyah was ready to go off.

Your elders can also turn your family against you. I completely disagree with Iyanla?s method.
I agree she shouldn?t threaten people like she is on BGC but why did Iyanla smile at her that way when she told them they were not going to answer her call? :hehe: she was punishing her for not showing her feelings. People shut down for a reason, you can?t expect people to be vulnerable with you if you didn?t build trust. It takes years of therapy, you can?t force your way in
This little girl needs all the support she can get, she doesn?t even know Iy? or that crew. She needed her boyfriend to be there with her. You can?t just abandon someone like that.
I know why some kids may act out like this. It's not always as simple as "put that little ghetto bitch on a leash."
I've seen this all the time in the hood. Young girls with a "I dont give a FUCK. What?!!! :fuming:" attitude, but it definitely comes from somewhere.
She has issues. And Iyanla wants to poke her with a stick and hope for the best? It's like tryna play Frisbee with a stray fucking pitbull.
sfsfsfssf The girl gnawed into her skull and it happened because the plan was to get her heated.
And Iyanla never mentioned her son, a grown man, threatening this girl to beat her ass. She claimed everyone, the whole crew, was calm.

Iyanla knows she backed this child into a corner.
At least she realizes it was nothing but a bunch of yapping. If that girl really wanted to KNOCK ha she would have.

Queen knew what she was doing.
The girl was acting like she was some sweet normal girl who didn't feel either way about being raised by a kidnapper. She was emotionless.
Iyanla knew this was a lie so she had to find a way for this girl to tap into her emotions. Too bad that when she tapped into her emotions they were explosive, disgusting, and just uncontainable. That's not on Iyanla, it's on the girls family who obviously excuse and tolerate that kind of behavior from her.
I agree. Anytime there's a child involved I tend to look at the family situation, etc.
It's all about what they allow to be "normal" in the household. What's shocking to us may just be another day in a child's house.
I would have been HANDLED if word ever got back to my house that I was talking to adults disrespectfully as a child - and there would have been very little room for excuse. No room for "But she...", "But I..". But that's the expectation that was set FOR me. As with many things, it starts in the house with the family. If I am allowed to speak to my aunts, uncles, parents, etc. however the fuck I'd like to, who the hell is Iyanla?
