yeah I'd say packaging that Britney brought was important

not just cuz she was cute or pretty

but her voice, how she glided on songs....the whole "concept" of Britney

yeah there were people there piecing everything together but the same can be said for most artists - especially back then when "artist development" was huge.

they brought the talent/looks and were "molded" into "stars".

I'd even say her voice made her stand out for sure
But Xtina, Jessica and Mandy were actually trying to SANG and not do that "baby" voice thing
Then came Kelly Clarkson, Pink etc
Who was trying to do that baby voice?

We had Spice Girls, BSB, N'Sync before the solo white girl Britney hopped on the wave, with a song that TLC turned down. She was never a creative artist she just was able to drop her music first before Xtina and Jessica

Acting like visuals don't count in millennial pop is wild. Saying "it was just the visuals" in a pop debate is damn near like saying film is "just the cinematography." What is "Single Ladies" without the choreography?  What the hell is goddam Formation without the visuals? Or nearly any damn Beyonce hit.
