TBH, I kind of expected viewership to go down this week. The OJ show was expected to be the biggest new thing on the early 2016 season, and it premiered at the same time as Zoe's episode this week.  Even I watched OJ, then watched Zoe on demand the next day.

I personally enjoy the rating updates.  I like to be informed how the show is being received by the public.  I do hope the ratings pick up some and consistently sit over a mil.  I'm sure Bran wouldn't want big names as a part of the cast, ya'll know Bran likes to be the reason for her own success, and I feel her.

but that's the thing... ratings doesn't show the whole picture of how the show is being perceived.
everyone that i know whose into the show is not even watching it on TV.
they watch it online. On their phone. during their lunch break. on their iPad, over the weekend.
i mean...

No disrespect but I said Received not Perceived.  IMO, a show that is being received well will increases in ratings via word of mouth and stay steady by viewers tuning in the next week.  That isn't happening, people are not doing too much talking and people are actually opting not to watch, per the ratings.  Perceive is someones personal perception or opinion, which I agree, does not have a direct impact on the ratings.

I misread what you wrote.
However, TV (and its ratings) is not the only way a show can be RECEIVED in 2016.

Just before the show aired it's initial episode, it booked 1.5 million views on the BET APP on 1/1/16. That was not accounted for on the 5th of Jan. So... for me, it's hard to just rely on the TV ratings.

i like knowing about ratings and seeing if my favorite shows will be canned or not

i don't watch shows that i think is gonna get cancelled i mean who got time fa dat it's useless...unless it's a anthology or mini series

you can usually tell from the first couple episodes

it's not like the music business you can flop a million times you can always make more music and go indie

but with TV once it's cancelled it's never coming back the story, the characters n mess

ratings are important

In brans case it's on cable so you have a little more leg room to grow hopefully they are up next week!!

and yes i get people have more ways to watch TV these days but if you truly want to help WATCH IT LIVE but if you can't hey you can't i get ppl got lives

one more thing Zoe's ratings is on par with the other Cable comedies

just last night Freeforms Baby Daddy (620k) and Young & Hungry (650k)

and TVlands Younger (624k)

they are all in the same rang so don't worry too much

It's the Time slot and the day it comes on. I think Wednesday at 8:30pm would be better. Right before Empire.

CandyCrush

I think it's casting too. A couple of those characters have NO charisma or presence. And Brandy has no fire with either of the male leads. None.

I like the show..... but the last episode and maybe a few more kind of..... lack something, dont know what it is. more rythym, a more fresh approach.... dont know.

CandyCrush

I like the show too and it has infinite possibilities. But it's missing that magic.
