Of course she's saying the same thing, just not specifically about women.

There's so many misconceptions floating around about black people cuz everything is so SKRONG!

like people thinking kinky hair is the toughest SKRONGEST form of hair when its actually the most delicate and fragile of all hair types.

There's empowerment in strength but the issue is that black women are already masculinized enough as it is . First insult someone goes to with blk women usually is "bitch that's why u look like **insert unambiguously black MANs name here** "

I can see why many black women are pushing back on the phrase . If these preexisting issues werent in existence ...of course it'd be awesome to say "strong black woman!" All day and night .

And it's not about intent , because the intent when using that phrase is almost always pure and positive . It's about the idea that it supports and how that affects the women in our community .

It's about protecting black women and how "strong black woman" can possibly get in the way of that .
