[Purple Moon]

- She was not actively involved in the animated short that won her a Daytime Emmy.  She was just a producer.

- She won the Tony for an off-Broadway show that she signed on as a producer for (along with like 15 people) when it went to Broadway

I think both her Emmy and Tony were awarded for producer credits that she obtained as part of a planned campaign to earn EGOT without having to be actively involved (allegedly in my opinion, don't sue me Jen).  She didn't win them for being on TV or on Broadway.  She bought in to high-quality products in order to ride them to an award win as a producer. 

With that being said, does she deserve the EGOT title? We all know she won her Grammy and Oscar, but could anyone even tell you what she won her Emmy and Tony for if you asked them?

I personally don't feel any of that should matters. People win awards all the time as producers by only slapping their name on something. 

Don't get me wrong, i hear what what you're saying. I believe there's a lot more that goes into producing than money. Some of those people are really talented and true visionaries.  I dont fault Jennifer if that's not her thing, she won't be the first nor last.

Emmy for Outstanding Special Class Special in 2002 for "Beyond Tara: The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel. She also had won an Emmy in 2009 for Outstanding Talk Show Host for "The View.

She has multiple Tonys, the first won in 2002 as a producer of the Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Lol. Just choosing the right source material is a talent.  Having an eye for a what script and/or novel to tackle isn't easy, not everything you read will translate well on screen. Wisely using your budget can be a task not everybody is up for. Trying to cast a good or named actor and meeting their demands could bring up many issue including eating your budget, etc. The producer has one of hardest jobs on a set because they're incharge of so much.
