Promote the album? 
This is a damn Xmas album.  Who's expecting for this album to do numbers?  This is for yall so just pop the mf on and be glad u got sumn.  Don't need a video for an Xmas album either tbh

I really hope she's ok. But if she is, why put out an album if you're not going to promote it? lol it doesn't matter if it's just for Christmas. A video for "CPFT" should have dropped no later than the same day as the album.

I am just going to say this...

Someday at Christmas had a nice two day run on the charts after that performance. To me, it would make more sense to perform my medley or songs right before Christmas rather than December 1. I mean come on, who the hell is thinking of Christmas day right now?

It also gives her more rehearsal time to actually perform live. I am all about her mental health and have been a concerned fan at times too, but this is just logic at this point. Also, it's a Christmas album..... These albums never get the traditional rollout.. My thoughts only.

That two day run could have continued with consistent promo. It's not about Christmas Day, it's about pushing the product for it to sell and get exposure.

I know it's beating a dead horse, but a legit communications team would fix all of this. I was on Taraji's IG and she tagged her communications team when she reposted her Elle cover and it's the Lede Company, a big time firm, so it's always odd seeing that Brandy is not operating with top people on her team. We all just want best for her because a legend should only have the top of the line people handling her career and legacy.

YEA. Although I really enjoyed her visibility during the B7 era, I'm just not invested anymore like I used to be many years ago. It's literally just setting yourself up for unnecessary disappointment. The gorls been getting DUPED for 20 years now... STAND UP.

She seemed a lot happier last year, around the time Somebody's Son came out it was like she had a renewed joy for music. Personally I would have rather her stay in that space - collabs and occasional performances - cause every time she gets locked into a project the shenanigans start.

And are we really surprised she's not doing promo for a Christmas project? After 15+ years of doing the bare minimum of promo with albums she claims are her "best work ever"? Gal

Some of her behaviour gives depression teas but I really don't know - if thats what it is I want Brandy to be healthy more than I want another album and I really hope she's seeking therapy (again, that's only if she is dealing with mental health issues).

After 2/11 I learned my lesson, I think some of you need to realise the "comeback" is not happening, the big era is not happening, crazy visuals are not happening. Brandy needs to want to do these things and actively connect with people that will facilitate it, hell Silent could do a lot do that stuff himself and the fact he doesn't (and Brandy consider him a friend) tells me it's a choice and not management/label - at least not every time.

Brandy is a legend but she's always operated with family surrounding her to keep her safe from the scary side of the business. She wants to feed her fans without feeding into the greed of the big wheelhouse of entertainment it seems. She does just enough to be seen as complacent to the big bosses but isn't giving up her mental health to work herself into the ground. I am happy to take what we get from Queen and I hope she's having a great holiday season. Her Christmas album is making sure I do.

After 2/11 I learned my lesson, I think some of you need to realise the "comeback" is not happening, the big era is not happening, crazy visuals are not happening. Brandy needs to want to do these things and actively connect with people that will facilitate it, hell Silent could do a lot do that stuff himself and the fact he doesn't (and Brandy consider him a friend) tells me it's a choice and not management/label - at least not every time.

the bolded is what i think is at the root of whats frustrating the gorls. so u hit the nail on the head there....

but id take it a step further and say to you that even if GHan wanted these things to happen,the likelihood of a major, mind-blowing "comeback" is slim.

and id take it one more step further and say Silent is not a magician. the way you just said "he could do a lot of this stuff!" is IMO, highly unrealistic and almost unfair to both him and GHan.

it's saying she has all these amazing resources at her doorstep and is just refusing to use them. it's not that simple. it's rarely ever that simple in the music industry, especially in regards to an artist who experienced the height of their career in the 90s.

we're doing a lot of assuming here. so although you offered a solution in saying "guys let it go like i did", you kinda poured more gas on the fire  . an uno reverse, if u will.

the more realistic the gorls are, the more in-tune they are with the statistics and the history of incline-peak-decline in this industry, the less they will blame GHan for what they consider a lack of success or exposure.

it's not about being a "yes man" , as some have described my way of thinking. it's called being logical and reasonable.

There are two things here: Mainstream status versus consistency. Fans asking Brandy to have a consistent presentation for her work isn't necessarily hoping that she reaches new peaks in her career.

There are independent artists and even artists from her generation that consistently push their brands and projects, with tours, social media presence, and quality visuals. And they have less backing and budget than she probably does.

Brandy having a marketing team isn't some impossible feat exclusive to mainstream a listers. Having a quality social media manager to maintain her brand cost the bare minimum.
 
She is clearly just comfortable with the people currently in her circle.
