Tamar did do 430k do she is kinda certified

Yeah, but she had to GRIND for that. She also has like 3 TV shows.

If this was the 90s or early 00s she would have done 3 mil.

Or at least do the numbers that Keyshia Cole used to do.

Young

If I was an Artist I would be Independant

Releasing mess on YouTube and ITunes and trying to make it go viral via Social Media

My only income would be that; hosting/performing at clubs on the weekends and perhaps interviews and mess

These labels bind you up and make you their slave really
And then they treat u like shit

Look how long JoJo suffered

yummy

It's crazy how things have changed.

Back in the day it was harder to make it big, but the reward was much bigger if you did.
Now it's much easier to "make it", but the pay out is way less.

Hell, any gorl with a YouTube or IG account can be famous nowadays

Look at Cardi B. She was on instagram famous and now she's the fan favorite on "Love & Hip Hop". Like how lol

Those shows are pretty much designed for people who have no other way of reaching fame tho.

Labels aren't backing up R&B female artists like they used to back then.
They have to go through fire to get heard nowadays.

They are barely backing the male R&B artists.

A lot of these girls best bet is to come out of pocket for a lot of their albums

That's kinda like how the gorls come for Mon. They call her local and a flop.
She may not be a top girl anymore, but at the end of the day she has her
fanbase and she's cool with that.

She can go do a lil show somewhere, collect her coins, and be home in time
to tuck her kids in for bed. No she's not perched on billboards and in arenas,
but she's living comfortably while getting to do what she loves for a living.

That's a win to me.
