Everybody is praising them for being so socially conscious, deep etc... But how come Macklemore was the only one with the balls to tackle gay issues, when they run rampant in the black communities. Shouldn't our street poets who are oh so great, make that a topic too?

Kendrick and Cole aren't obligated to stick up for gays. They're doing the right thing by making sure that they speak up for those whom they identify with. If we forced them to speak up for gays, even though they don't identify as such, since it was right, then we might as well give them a laundry list of other things to discuss.

And give other artists that list as well.
