Aren't Kendrick and J. Cole supposed to be speaking against homophobia?

I know J. Cole does use "faggot" in his raps though. How is that okay.
doesn't bother me

i can see why people wouldn't use, but i just chalk it up to ignorance. The word doesn't hit home for them because they just can't relate IMO. period.

nnn

I used to STAN for DMX, then I went back and listened to some of his songs and I was like, "wait I rapped and danced down to THIS?"

:udontlookok:

"Where Da Hood At?" used to my anthem
:melmel:
:plzstop:

yea DMX used to go IN ddssssdsdsds he was my fave!!

Nyan Cat

lemme jus say

these two can rap 'bout evrything under tha sun supposedly happenin' in tha blck commun'
shootings
tha mistreatment & all tht
they are blck men & such..

now im not askin them to speak up on gay rights this & that and so forth
more so tha homophobia within tha black community, BLACK..community..sumthin they are 100% about!
im not evn sayin they SHOULD speak on it at this pnt..but their silence is noted

all im sayin

Macklemore benefits from tackling these topics btw. People don't take them seriously and i feel like they're covering these taboo topics because that gives them more credibility.  Like, i think they're clowns but that awards show performance about the use of drugs or whatever was amazing.  The gimmick isn't working btw, their album flopping like none I've ever damn seen
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

I don't think its something that's personal to them
Maybe in future they'll touch on issue
!!!

i dont want them to do it just to get a pat on the back. if it isn't something they truly feel or understand just yet, then thats fine. As long they dont start gay bashing (in ANY way) then its whatever for now

People praise these two like the next coming of Gandhi.

Street preacher! Real issues! Thought-provoking!
hhh now your exaggerating just a TAD
and thats probably because they might be the only two out of this current generation of rappers that DO speak on current issues
Doesn't mean their both hip hop Malcolm x's

I agree they are not, but people act like they are. And personally I would love for them to just make a clear statement or think about it, as their voice is so powerful. I don't like that a white man was the first in hip hop to do it... Why can't our black rappers make it an issue.

am mean, they probably don't fuck with gays at all. a lot of these socially conscious, "woke" niggers can't stand gays because they we're some kind of threat to the image of the "strong black male".

wouldn't be that shocking to find out they don't care for the gorls.
