but anyway, I always thought screaming "born this way! can't helps it!" made being gay look like some sort of birth defect or the mental illness that many religious nutcases believe it is. it really shouldn't matter whether feels they have identified as homosexual from birth or whether they chose to start sucking dick once they hit college, there is NOTHING intrinsically wrong with having romantic feelings for someone of the same sex

I agree with this. Don't see the relevance in trying to prove it is innate or not.

there is NOTHING intrinsically wrong with having romantic feelings for someone of the same sex and that damn harry potter book of fables that you coons love to live and die by won't sway my opinion on that.

TBQFH

That christian logic and belief is based on and rooted in ignorance for the most part.

Can I ask ?

What or who do you believe in?
Do you believe in anything?

Is there something that you keep with you on a spiritual level that guides you day to day and you look to for guidance?

I do think the Bible and the Quran are very valuable books though and provide knowledge and context. I think like any other book you should not take them for face value but they be having TRUTH in it.

I wish you guys would separate the Bible and Church/Christianity

Look to the Bible...seriously . It isn't just some book; whether Pastor Jones read out of it and slept with the Deaconess one night or not. The book is real and shouldn't be discredited.

Also the world we live in NOW isn't the world they lived in; so things may seem unrealistic but that's why. Have FAITH. Please guys

I'm skimming through your posts in here and kind of agreeing  :uhh:

I think gays need to move away from the choice argument when it comes to defending homosexuality. And that's NOT to say that it was a choice for everyone, I say leave that to the individual to define for themselves. Instead of screaming about a choice, we need to be asking the straights why the fuck it matters whether or not someone chose to be gay.

I do hun. I'm religious but don't pay the bible any mind.

Yeah you can get inspired by it and come up with a cute sermon or some positivity, but that's about it.

It doesn't fit with modern society.

Yeah, the morals & values my parents taught me and the life lessons I've learned through experience. That's about it tbh.

No one is gonna let the choice argument go because you have these religious loons that've been voicing their nonsense and brainwashing the world for centuries into believing we chose these feelings. We're constantly reminded that we're less than the average human being, placed on the same level as pedophiles and murders, denied basic human rights, having to hide and live lies just to be accepted all while feeling miserable and unfulfilled on the inside etc.

Of course the gurs are gonna get offended over it.
