I literally had never had a problem with him before. Because he always randomly hops on these lil pet projects and goes on about them for a while, i was curious about how all this came to be.  I went into one of his lil threads at the beginning of this phase and asked just that. howd all this come about

I appreciate your feelings and I never feel "bullied". And it's not Creole it's Melungeon. Also, 25% or more is nowhere near small when you're referring to DNA. All of my European, Asian and even some of the African (Melungeon people have African roots which originate in Angola, which finally explains the SE Bantu portions of my DNA) come from this heritage.

Which of course means, Melungeon is inherently Black as well. So it's not saying "Proud to be White. Or Proud to be French". I think that's where the confusion is coming in, more research on anyone's part who is confused will help with that. That's the problem. Melungeon is a specific mixture of Angolan African, Spanish/Portuguese, Native, and Central Asian. It's not a "small part" of my DNA. It's actually 32% of my DNA.

Everyone's welcome to their thoughts though. Again, I'd never feel bullied. I just don't care to argue, and continuously go back and forth. there's a difference.

Wrong on two counts. In fact:

1. The very first black ancestors of Melungeons appeared in tidewater Virginia, not in the 18th century, but in 1619.

2. Not one single Melungeon family can be traced to a white plantation owner and his black female slave. The vast majority of the African ancestors of Melungia were freeborn for more than three hundred years.

This bears repeating.

I just talked with another Dumas cousin match on the phone this weekend and he JUST unlocked all of this for me.
We were matched through my mother's DNA. Not a hunch.

This is my real family history, these are my blood relatives. Not something I'm claiming to seem fun and edgy. Sorry if I'm too excited about finding out who I am for your taste. I'll try not to be.

Me saying that I don't care what you have to say or care to argue on and on about it, doesn't mean I'm in a corner crying. If I feel I need to reach for scalp I will.  but lately I found myself caring less and less , that's all. all the back and forth, arguments for threads, reads, shade, not saying I'm "above" it but I don't feel the need to engage as much.

That doesn't mean I'm weak or crying
