No. It should be about recognizing music by black artist because it's Black Entertainment Television. The comparison was weak cause CMT doesn't stand for Cracker Music Television.

It's like Miley being nominated for a Latin Grammy. That hoe ain't a bit of Spanish. And ain't cared about anything related to latin people. Same with Adele/Sam as it pertains to black people.

it should be about BOTH
why should they throw awards at artists who don't show up to their show,
or any show on their network at all? Especially when plenty of others DO show up to promote their music
which brings BET viewers and ratings

Robin Thicke is an R&B artist. Adele and Sam are pop contemporary artists. And neither of them have any business on urban radio but they are white so they have privilege.
