"Witnesses said the family was on the beach, and the boy's sister was in a playpen about 20 to 30 yards from the water, according to Demings. The toddler was nearby, wading in the water.

There are "No Swimming" signs at the lagoon, and no one else was in the water at the time of the attack besides the child, Demings said. "

So they had their 4 year old in a playpen but the 2 year old was allowed to "play" in the water that had "no swimming signs" ?

AIDS!

I feel sorry for them, what a way to loose a child.
Especially one so young and still so dependant on you,  the bond is stronger and deeper. They're never going to recover from this, especially the father.5
Not excusing them but God knows it's hard to keep your eye on a toddler every minute.,.
Ch the amount of times my younger brother has wondered off in the highstreet and ended up in McDonald's :dead:

There are way too many variations in this story, at this point. Some reports say the toddler was ALONE while his feet were a few inches in the water; some say the parent was HOLDING HIS HAND while he was a few inches in the water, some are saying he wasn't IN the water at all, and that it snatched him from BEHIND as the family stood BY the shore.

Ch. When the parents are ready, I want THEM to clarify it.

Yea there are a lot of variations going around... I would believe witnesses before the parents at this point.. IDK

They may say anything to not make it look like they were negligent..

I hope there's some footage from a camera or something.. not for the world to see but for authorities to determine what happened

yummy

Bottom line is that a child was close enough into the water for an alligator to snatch it.
Alligators usually lie UNDER the water and wait for their prey to get closer to them before they snatch it.
It's not in the nature to CLIMB out from the water and chase it.

The baby was too close to the water, it was too dark.

The parents have already said that they had to turn around to see what was going on. Why was your back turned to begin with? I'm sorry but I am fuming just a bit not because I want to judge them but I have little tolerance for irresponsible parenting especially when it comes at the cost of the child's life.

If you're not willing to constantly and responsibly monitor a child and set boundaries don't cum raw inside of your wife.
