I can only speak for myself, but I am not looking for acceptance from straight black people. They are going to believe whatever fear, hatred, and that little black book teaches them, because for the most part on some level that is to be expected. But when whites in the gay community that dont have to deal with some of the harsh realities that black gay men face, are pushing us to the rear as supposed to standing with them side by side....that is an issue for me.
