I understand it a lot more now. And I can see why Sonja is fuming Bryon's pretty much lounging around watching GHan lose her mind about this He wants GHan to bend to his will and he knows no label will touch her unless its officially declared that she's a free agent. GHan is looking to the courts for that documentation at this point. Can't blame her.

They have 20 days to appear in court tho

Brandy, who signed with Chameleon Entertainment in 2011, originally sued the label in Los Angeles Superior Court in March of this year. That lawsuit was dismissed earlier this month because Brandy?s recording contract with Chameleon contained a forum selection clause that specified all claims, disputes or agreements would be resolved through New York state or federal courts.

Well that's good to hear.

I wish her luck with this.

So it wasn't dismissed because she didn't have a case.
it was dismissed because he has to be handled by NYC Court.

Initially wasn't she seeking 1 million dollar. Why did she drop it down to 270K after the first lawsuit was dismissed? 

My guess is that maybe she or her lawyers felt that they'd be more likely to release her if she sues for a lower amount.
