Yea, iono i just don't consider usher......like AT ALL. I have 3 of his albums (4 if u count the live one) and i don't go back to listen to any of em, not even on some nostalgic shit :dead:

Who cares if you listen or not? That doesn't make him less of an icon.

Gilgamesh.

I actually liked the Raymond v Raymond album. But Usher's music doesn't give me that nostalgia the way Ginuwine's or R.Kelly's does.

I don't think anyone has denied his success.

That's not the debate here  :shannonsmissing:

Is he?
I've never heard anyone mention usher as an influence and that's forreal :dead:

In the very beginning, Chris would name Usher as one of his biggest influences constantly. But once he got as big as Ush' and became his peer, he stopped naming him as one of his influences (as a lot of these artists tend to do. See: Dawn). Now all he mentions is Michael. But you're not about to tell me a 12, 13 year old Chris wasn't inspired by Usher. Usher was at his peak when Chris was that age.

Ne-Yo used to name him as well.

Now this i agree with, Omarion and a lot of the dudes that came out from 2005-8 referenced Ursh. He was kinda Beyonce's counterpart, but like someone said he tarnished his legacy.
