what do you consider to be weave?

:omgwatshappening:

weave here is any fake hair thats put in someones head

No! Weave or Weave-On is a certain type of hair. My father owns a big business, when costumer asks for weave, I would never hand him braiding hair. It is not a weave. The weave has the long line on top saw you can saw on it.

This is not a weave. It is cheap synthetic hair that costs 5?'s. Africans use those to do all kinds of braiding styles. I don't know what methods you guys use.
that is EXACTLY what they do here

you can braid the mess into your scalp or have it sewn in

either way, its weave

Well I don't see the fckn issue then. Where is the hoopla. I thought he meant like a saw-in weave with already braided dreads or some mess.

Young

Its all weave extensions babe

Sndbddddddd

Wtf is going on in here

Wait Malc' has a point, wtf do y'all call weave?

Africans (or Nigerians afaik) only call it weave when it's actually sewn into your head.

Braiding using xpression hair isn't called weave.

SouravMay

You see this thing on top, where you can stick your needle through. The bundle. That is what makes a weave.

I think it's just the first time we've all seen someone not consider any fake hair weave

I loved my twists too

:stressed:

Was this a weave

No wtf. It was sawed in. Synthetic hair mixed with mine. Like regular cornrows, just loose.

That's what I asked :diddraispoot:

Not a weave. braiding hair. You never had braids?

I've had cornrows before. But maybe I  just have the terminology wrong. I call all additional hair that's added into someone's head a weave
How did you get your braids done? You people do not use additional hair?

d @ "you people" :everythingok:

And no, I didn't use additional hair. Just had to wait for mine to grow lol and it was just cornrows

This is weird. It is only a weave, if the hair falls and you literally weave/saw it in. Braiding hair is not a weave, it is just X-Pressions braiding hair. So Brandy been wearing weave all-along according to the US?

This is interesting cultural information.
