Oh, and the test revealed I have West Asian DNA as well
At first I was like asian I know there is no chinese in my blood...definitely not enough of a trace to surface on a DNA test i was kinda thrown off. even tho it was 1 percent. still was weird to me. like how would native american not pop up and asian does

but that was my geographical ignorance at work. once i did further research I discovered West Asia is more like "indian"..... armenia, iraq, etc. that doesn't surprise me. makes a lot more sense then what i thought it meant originally.

ok im really going 2 bed now. sssss its past my bedtime. just so excited to get these results as u can tell. i mean, who wouldn't be tho????!!!!!!!

I been meaning to do the ancestrydna test all summer but never got around to it. I'm in the dark about a lot of my ancestry. I identify as black, and I know I have African ancestors...but fuck what does that mean? Where in Africa? I have no sense of history about that...my ancestors were taken from the continent 100s of years ago with and there aren't like any real records I can refer to. And then there's my latino father...what the fuck does that mean? Clearly HE is mixed...but mixed with what?

I think we as a community need to stop putting down others for wanting to know their TRUE heritage. It's something we were robbed of and thank God for technology for allowing us to have that piece of mind.

Were the lab techs deluded? I mean...

I knew what my truth was, a black man with a mixed background. this kind of broke it down numerically for me. Thankful to have it.

But I mean...first, it's someone's lying about their heritage, they hate themselves and they perm their hair..... then, it's the lab that is lying.....some people are just angry, and there's no saving them. So I no longer bother with it.
