most will kii, but I just thought Willow has all the elements to really make it.

she just need dope producers constantly, and hit after hit would do the rest.

the only question is if she goes after it or not

Well, she's young enough. I don't like what she gives sonically, but Whip was cute.

I agree

That little girl has it MADE because of her parents tbh

We will all turn and look no matter what she releases, she just needs to make something mainstream. But that's ONLY if she wants to take on that life.

Yeah I think colorism plays a part in film/tv but definitely not music.

Then where is the dark skin version of Bey and Rihanna? 10 years is long enough for one to slay. Why have singers like Sevyn and Kelly Rowland admitted to be looked over due to colorism?
Maybe the labels aren't pushing them for that reason and its not necessarily the publics fault?

Just because there's no dark girls killing the scene now doesn't mean we can forget the 500 other dark skin girls that have shat in history.

This colorism thing is dumb imo. Talkn bout where are the dark versions of bey n rih. Hell where are the LIGHT versions?  Its hard for ANY girls to get in, PERIOD! And i just thought about Normani being in the top group and being the girl that most people talk about. I just came outta that haircut thread and ol boy was called a monkey or something and if he was dark skinned then he wouldn't be looked at. Sounds like u have ur own deep issues tbh
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Are you girls trying to use skin tone as an excuse for their success again?

:melmel:

Amerie, Tinashe, Keri Hilson, Nicole, Cassie etc all were light and all flopped

They just don't have IT

True, but those same girls got 8 million chances and got a lot of press, and still do to some degree. How many times did Christina Milian get a shot? LOL  Remember they used to say, "Watch out Beyonce?"

It is harder for everyone to shine, but you do get some attention if you're fairer. No one buys music anymore and everyone is suffering because of it, which IS a factor in why there's no black girls other than Bey and Rihanna shitting right now.

women seem to have it harder.

but that's how it is in real life anyway

black men are worshipped and exalted for just being them.

oof! black skin! big dick! afro! yes plz! :blessed:

while dark skinned black women are thrown to the bottom of the barrel

labeled as aggressive, angry, jealous, etc. before they even open their mouth :plzstop: :plzstop:

i LUH my DARK black queens. GODya , GODlli, GODyana :blessed: :blessed:

keep preaching in here Bull :supluv:

I know right! These girls are blind.

Where the male R&B singers at though? Chris was the last one that actually slayed until he whooped Rih.

KING BENTLEY.

I don't feel like color has anything to do with why ONLY Bey and Rih are slaying at the moment

Ppl like Kelly and Brandy have the talent and fanbase support to slay, but let's be honest, they never have their shit on lock

Compete coincidence as of now IMO

H.#.G.*.Z

LOONA.

h

Who mentioned Kelly?

As many chances as that gur has gotten even after 8 million flop attempts.
