What am I to say when it's so blatantly obvious? Hey, I support singers like Kelly Rowland and Fantasia, but it's obvious that their skintones are an issue for a lot of people, including their own.
Again, they don't have to be clones of Beyonce and Rihanna. Where are they though; why aren't they successful like Ariana, Taylor Swift, Demi and Selena?
I agree with the poser that said it's because black and brown people aren't supporting them. Back in the day, you had to purchase a cd and that made it easier for entertainers to blow up. Black people not supporting R&B is partially why it is not selling. White people never cared for R&B Mary J. like that. We were the ones buying those albums!
