What does any of that mean
Urban pop is a pretty self explanatory thing.  Has neo soul ever had a category at the grammys?  Billboard?  We still used it to describe a certain type of music.  Like

Neo-Soul is clearly under the R&B/Soul umbrella, and during its prime the term was used by many music outlets and critics. It had a section in FYE. Many billboard articles in the 90's would use the term "Neo-Soul" giving it credibility. I've never heard anyone outside this moment use the term "urban pop".

The term makes sense...it's just not recognized is what I'm saying.
