What happened with Bey/Ci? I only remembered the Hive/Ci's vs the Keri's or whatever the fuck they're called

it started with If I Were a Boy

EVERYBODY said it was swagga jackin (lol) Like a Boy and Ciara commented on that. She didn't diss Bey at all though. Still, the Hive was bitter. So when the Love Sex Magic vidya came out they RUSHED to do this late ass side-by-side comparison, intimating that it was Ciara who swagga jacked Bey.

Then Ciara said something about her Go Girl robot outfit being Thierry Mugler-inspired and, "I understand that Bey's now using him as a fashion designer for her tour."

The whole thing was really fuckin stupid, but it did have a negative effect on her era. I hated every Bey stan alive

gorl. that did not have no impact. nobody even remembers this. 

it did have an impact. I remember they showed that damn collage on VH1 right before they played her video. That shit spread hun. I'm sure it's still online.

I lowkey think Ciara wanted that.



this was out before the LSM video and ego had dropped.

With FR, I think Ci did get lost in the shuffle, in an attempt to maintain her pop radio airplay, appease her label, and of course please her fans. But the industry made a shift between 07-08 and for some reason Top 40 radio started to disregard most Urban music. I think she felt she had to switch it up in some kinda way. And I'm sure there was label pressure as well. It all culminated in a bunch of experimental songs that barely connected with anyone, an album with songs on it that were put on YouTube months ahead of time, and minimal label backing. Oh, and the BeyHive wanted her head

she just wasn't lucky that go round.

Honestly, I don't understand why y'all go back and forth over the past. It happened and fact is I believe no matter what went down it was going to happen. Everything from Future to Russel etc...Fact is Ci is fine and will be fine, this is just a chapter of her story. We know our girl VERY well she isn't giving up, her story isn't finished yet and it will be that much glourious when she gets her moment. I got faith in her.

I always thought it was weird how she was rocking the Rocawear in 2007 and then suddenly she wasn't. Jay-Z and them had something to do with her failures for the 3rd CD and I'll always believe that.

Ci is a Godly woman and I've heard stories about how big her voice is behind the scenes. They sabotaged the hell out of her.

yeah possibly but doubt it. Her old team did her in the FR era Phillina wanted Ciara fucking head on a platter, because Ci let her go because she felt she wouldn't get her where she needed to go. Sad part is Mark Pitts got her looks but he didn't do it either because he didn't understand her as a core artist. But that's Ci fault, you live and you learn. I remember when they snatched Ci off the Hot Toddy song and canned the Turn It Up video.
