I've seen so many instances where government reliance has been normalized in households, and even take advantage of.

People using food stamps to buy Chinese food, etc. Selling them to other people, etc.

If he's replacing the stamps with a CONSISTENT supply of fresh, healthy food....this is kinda cute.

My old roommate would get $200 in food stamps WHENEVER he was between jobs. He'd tell them he was homeless and didn't work and BAM, $200 for 6 months. Then when I lost my old job and I went to try my luck, they said I didn't qualify because I was a student. Ummm, HUH?

in reality though.....$200 doesn't even go that far anymore in the grocery store. 10 or so items and you're already approaching $100.

!!!! We'd still have to come out of pocket. We mainly bought stuff for full meals and meats with his stamps and came outta pocket for everything else.
