Kalifornia.

It's not even that he's too old for these songs. They just suck, from what I've heard.

LOONA.

Uhhhhh Michael was a pop artist and he always made that kinda music.  Toni has always infused that kinda music in too so that's real moot. There's a difference between experimenting with different sounds but still remaining true to u and your artistry VS hopping on trends :dead:
I'm a Toni stan and I know for a fact that her older fans and critics accused her of trying to be hip and keep up with trends.

And you're wrong. Her style DID change from her debut - she began fully clothed singing R&B songs and uptempos and began stripping a bit during Secrets. Then said fuck it, took off ALL her clothes and hopped on knock with Darkchild for The Heat.

She was known for midtempos and ballads. Look at her most popular song for crying out loud.

Then hopped on Darkchild track and started mumbling a bit over KNOCK and getting much sexier as she focused less on growling vocals.

Beat It is Rock, Rock With You/PYT is R&B
Mike ALWAYS made pop? :dead:
He ain?t get in with Rodney in 2001 after Bran, and DC and everything? Ok
He said Michael hopped on knock and I'm saying that's the kinda music he ALWAYS made because he's a pop artist.  It wasnt about him not trying different sounds.  Michael Jackson remained true to who he was and THAT'S the difference.  It Never seemed like Michael was trying sumn just to be popular.  He brought who he was to his records. Usher doesnt have that.  He's wack
it?s definitely a rose colored glasses thing
Mike made amazing music but he definitely did stuff to be popular I?m pretty sure Quincy Jones spoke on it before
Even Janet. He definitely went to top producers after others at times
Usher is not alone you just don?t like him

Yea, that's what it is

And he's pulling this surprise release so he doesn't have to do interviews explaining why he's giving the gorls HERPES.

But that's exactly the point.  Toni's style changed because she was letting u know early who she was and not allowing herself to be put in a box.  How can u say someone is KNOWN for something after releasing one album :plzstop:
And most of the time debut albums are the brainchild of THE LABEL, not the artist.  So if anything, her sophmore album was more her and she's been singing those kinda songs forever. Making me high is one of her hugest records, so that invalidates everything u said. She didn't release ten albums of ballads and hop on darkchild trend later in her career. PLEASE :plzstop: :kii:
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Opposites Attract.

I think a lot of girls are so off base here. Every album Usher had the current Atlanta sound on it. He?s not chasing anything, he?s simply doing what he?s always done. I won?t be listening though. He?s trash.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

And even more recently, people got on her for hopping on this knock.

"Girl what you doin? This is not you! Stop tryna be something you not!"

Goddess RODE this mess for filth :scrumptious:

Queen sounded right at fucking HOME to me. :blessed:
People's disdain with this had nothing to do with anything other than this is terrible.  Try again :kii:

But the same can be said for Usher.

What do you think "U Make Me Wanna" was? A tribute to India Arie?

The track is pretty damn similar to "You're Makin Me High".

He's a pop artist.

Did i say somewhere in here that usher was a neo soul artist or sumn :dead:
