I've made it painfully clear a couple of times in here that I feel as if a need to celebrate something is completely subjective.

So why use words like "record"? Records ARE celebrated and arent subjective. Either sum1 did or DIDN'T do it.  There's no gray area

That's fine and dandy but we're talking about "records" here in the sense of top honors for accomplishments in music.

The record for the first
The record for the best
The record for the fastest

The term "second" cannot apply here. Not second best or second highest or second most. It isn't a record.
