Considering their wealth position in comparison to most black people, they?re both outliers. Monique may not be the spearhead of all social movements that greatly impact black people, but at least she?s challenging aspects of an institution that tries to dictate how black people can operate within it. This is where Steve comes off as a gatekeeper for white supremacy with the notion of ?we?re black, we have to play by their rules, we can?t challenge/change it, etc?.

She is very abrasive in her approach and can jump to conclusions too quickly, but I think I see what she?s trying to say.

That?s what Steve said.

He never said we can?t challenge White supremacy.

Opposites Attract.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

It?s interesting because tbh I don?t see how Mo?Nique is fighting for anyone but herself and she?s only fighting against other Black ppl. Whoopi, Oprah, Tyler, Lee, Charlemagne, Will Packer. She calls them coon, the help, slaves etc
Then she defends Roseanne after she called another Black Woman a monkey
Who has she stood up for? This has always been about her getting whatever money she believes she deserves and causing a ruckus when ppl don?t agree

I don't like him saying "we black out here we can't come out and do it anyway we want too"

Because we are black we have to do it a certain way??

Steve Harvey you a fuck nigga

we do!!

We do, they dont. They've already made it. The mission (or so I thought) is to help others like you make it or at least have an easier time getting a seat at the the table.

If we all were like Steve we'd still be in shackles. Playing their game has never been about liberation. Only the folks who were "radical" trailblazed.

Playing their game can be about liberation but youd have to do progressive things with your resources once you?ve won the game. This is where we drop the ball.

Even though they?ve made it, they still have to ?act right.? I mean look at what Monique is saying herself. She didn?t act right and she?s allegedly blacklisted.

I get that but my issue is this, when do we stop "acting right" for them? Mo' has literally spelled out why she is advocating for herself and others like her. Black folks and Black women in particular make substantially less than their white counterparts. Why is she being attacked for that? Cause ppl dont like her?

Monique got offered less than her BLACK counterparts. I mean Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish don?t have this problem. They?re Black, and they?re IN. What Monique is going on about actually sounds more like a personal problem than a Black problem. So maybe she?s getting backlash not necessarily because people don?t like her, but maybe they don?t think she?s worth a hunnid million as Monique, not as a Black woman.

yummy

It is  :dead: black women being underappreciated in the entertainment industry is an obvious issue and anyone with two eyes can see that. Her mess, however, doesn't have anything to do with that.

Where she loses me (and anybody with some damn sense) is positioning herself as some sort of martyr when she's really just a victim of entitlement and piss poor management. The folks she was comparing herself to during the Netflix debacle are selling out stadiums around the world and still appearing in blockbuster films. You're not and that's why you won't be getting offered the same amount of money.

The end.

Same goes for the modeling industry.

So if one plans to enter any of these industries, be forewarned that discrimination is perfectly legal.

is that nudity in your AVI ?
if so....

Some of the mess she's been putting out there....

I KNOW I deserve a Netflix check the size of Chris Rock's ..Am on his level

Have you seen his numbers?

Someone said I was a legend. This means I deserve more money

OK, what does an opinion/compliment have to do with these numbers we're tryna get into right now?

I love Mo'nique but a lot of her arguments just weren't making sense to me.

and that?s when she tried to turn it into a black thing nn

RAY7

When Charlemagne was NOT letting up on the numbers thing she decided to get ignorant lol
