Why relate this to just black men and sexuality... viola just had a whole dialogue about perception on the last episode of HTGAWM when she was getting dressed to go to court.

Everyone gets pre judged based on their appearance first and demeanor second.

Yes you get a different reaction if you are coming down the streets in a suit vs sweats.

Hear 'em swarmin', right? (Zz) 🐝 🐝  is known to bite (Zz, zz)

he's basically asking ...Is a Black man who's switching his hips down the block perceived to be as big of a "threat" as the black man crip walking down the block in all his ultra macho teas.

there's some logic to the question
ibbbbcc.

That's a way better way to pose the question

It's very true. Ever notice how Black creatives have to fight to be recognized in various categories except when it involves effeminate behavior.  Ask yourself why are Black men the face of the trans community?
since when
Laverne Cox, Billy Porter, entire cast of pose. I don't think there's a white equivalent to any of them in terms of visibility. Don't bother listing established celeb (KaitlynJenner)

Ryan Murphy literally casts a whole slew of white faggots

BAPHOMET.

this seems like a tranny bashing thread and im here for it

LMAO

I said openly gay. I never said flaming. White people know when someone is gay or not. But what if they do know because you told them and find you less of a threat because of it?

Black trans get killed at alarming rates

By police and suspected racists?

Links?

But yeah if a man of color, a Muslim man or a black man is openly gay he is likely to be viewed as "more progressive" and also less machismo and less threatening and less violent. So white patriarchy might give the black faggots some brownie points over black straights but still shame them for being gay at the same time.

Yep, and don't forget a lot of black gay men in those spaces are usually white washed. A lot of them have white partners. They probably see him as extremely agreeable.

What? :dead:

Yes, it's true! I heard black people on youtube and twitter argue that white people see black gay men as less of a threat and more agreeable. That's not to say gay black men don't experience racism, but that they are seen as far less dangerous.

Maybe gay black men aren't seen as a threat because many of them don't feel the need to wear masculinity on their sleeve, get belligerent with any form of authority or commit as many violent crimes
