and the words he was using to describe them, "ghetto", etc.

well umm yeah. turning ur home into a crackhouse was def kinda ghetto

but it seems like he was perfectly fine with them being hoodrats as long as their hoodrat activities contributed to the rent going into his hands.

but now the ghetto is beneath him.

definitely a "have my cake and eat it too" tea.
i still feel for him but no ma'am.

hope he's learned a lesson

digging too deep there sis.

you can sell drugs and not be ghetto. selling drugs isn't exclusively ghetto or hood rat behavior. Doctors basically push them, and Tyler from suburbia sells his moms pain meds under the bleachers. He probably understood that IF they were ping to be able to pay, that was goin to be the means. She was probably fkn jobless, stupid with no skills.... with an equally low life boyfriend... but he afforded them a place to dry out of the kindness of his heart as long as they could afford to pay rent, by whatever means. he's not enraged because she was ghetto, he's enraged because he was kind to them and they shitted on him
well u can also fuck people's shit up and not be "ghetto" too.
destroying mess and fucking people over isn't exclusive to the hood either.

but that's the word he chose to use so im running with it

i def felt a sense of condescension with that whole "ghetto" mess.

u didn't hear it?

but it's like sis, dont be ABOVE it all now. u were accepting drug money as a form of rent payment.

but at the same time...i gotta tug him a lil bit ....

you knew they were selling drugs in the home itself and you flat out told them u didn't mind?

so basically they were paying their rent with drug money

i can understand overlooking a tenant smoking a lil weed here and there....maybe
but turning your property into some stop-n-shop for druggies?

u can't give them a green light on crazily illegal activity
and then expect them to turn into upstanding, proper law biding citizens once it's time for them to leave when the money runs out.

the house kinda lived and died by the sword.

n

niggas gotta sell drugs sometimes

:wheresmylawyer:
apparently niggas gotta smash up a house too sometimes

:wheresmylawyer:

n

apples n oranges

devil's advocate! boff sides!

they are ghetto fucking trash for destroying this house. the end.

like, he positioned himself as the "cool, down ass landlord"

and im sure his tenants (REASONABLY) hoped all that coolness and down-ness would extend to late rent payment policies as well.

Yeah this is how I see it

I mean it sounds like he empathized with them as much as he could
I dont understand the ppul that give a "thats what he get" tea
when you try to help a mother and her children ur at fault for extending to much humanity to them?
or not stereotyping them enough to deny them because of preconceived notions?

this is not ghetto

this is vindictive mean spirited low life behavior

He could have easily practiced housing discrimination like alot of them do and str8 up didnt have her there period
but if he turns his head to a few things in the sprit of helping them out  that means its okay to do this?
that means its expected?
no and no

But you can expect decency and thoughtfulness/respect in return. I see what you did with "outstanding upstanding citizens!" but that's an extreme. Simply understanding that if you cant pay up, you can't stay is just common rationale and a concept EVERYONE from the homeless to a millionaire understands. No matter WHAT he turned a blind eye to, destroying his rental property because you can't ..... pay the rent .... is next level and they deserve to be killed

webwebebwe

the bottom line is that ultimately he had issues with her sense of morality

but where was this concern when she was selling drugs out of his house?

this can be avoided in the future by nipping mess in the bud when u notice flaws in character

when u see a tenant turning ur house into a crack den, treat it as a red flag
not an opportunity for u to show how down u are.

and she has kids on top of that

that's also a safety concern as well. Iyanla literally had an entire special about this boy who was shot in the head and is now blind
because of his family turning their home into a drug spot.
I think Oph is the one who shared the mess on here.  :plzstop:

so u know they're selling drugs out of ur home with kids in the house....and u overlook that? :uhh:
long as the rent's paid, huh?

no shade but i'm questioning HIS character as well.
